On Saturday I tutored Alex. I found a worksheet online about the song Hickory Dickory Dock. I started out playing a YouTube video of the song, then we discussed the different parts of the song and the meanings
ex. the mouse went up the clock, the clock struck one, the mouse went down
I had him sound out the words and write out each part. There was a matching section on the worksheet with a picture of what was happening and the phrase that coincided with it. There was also a section with pictures of clocks where he needed to draw the time, so we discussed a little about what picture went with which time and how to tell if it's 1 o'clock vs. 2 o'clock.
