Taylar TS #9

Date/Time: April 14, 2017; 4-5PM
Location: 1911 Jackson Bluff Rd.
At the last session, I brought some coloring sheets for Christian to do that featured different Phonics activities.  He really enjoyed doing this, so I brought back some more for this session.  The worksheets featured basic phonetical activities, like identifying the beginning sounds in words like "dog" and "jet" and then having him color in the spaces that featured words with the same starting sounds.  Christian's reading skills are still a lot lower than his listening skills, so I tried to have him identify the common words without me saying them first.  He did a great job and I only had to say the words a few times, but he could immediately identify which were right and wrong.  Compared to last week, Christian's reading and spelling skills are continually improving.  He is able to identify and remember a lot more letters compared to even the first week I worked with him.  The last thing we did was the Hokey Pokey again, but instead of just sing along to the song, I asked him the sing each part, which he really enjoyed!
