Gloriana returned but we weren't able to meet up for a few weeks.  By the time we met it was very near the end of the semester.  We were able to catch up on some different things going on in our lives. She had just gone to Disney World this past weekend.  She was very excited but ended up not having a great time.  She said the lines for all of the rides were very long and I explained that it was probably because most schools (elementary/high school) were on spring break. She told me how she went with a teammate and her teammate's friends.  I asked about them and found out the friends were my age!  I was shocked, Gloriana and her teammate are only 18.   She explained that her friends at home, in Costa Rica, were are older - 22 to 24.  I found that a little more common but for them to be hanging out with 28 year olds was surprising to me.  She said that it was very normal.  It probably is a tad more normal given the lack of normalcy in the situation - Gloriana's teammate is a very famous soccer player in her home country so she is surrounded by a much different crowd.  I have enjoyed getting to know Gloriana over the past few weeks.  I promised that we would stay in touch and that I would definitely be attending some soccer games in the Fall to watch her play!
