On Tuesday March 7, I
observed Rebecca’s 2A Speaking class. The students spent the class on their
personal laptops and on the computers in the computer lab preparing for their presentations.
In class the next day the students will be giving presentations on topics of
their choosing that relate to their culture. These presentations will give
Rebecca the opportunity to measure her students’ English speaking skills. The
students were engaged during class and were happy to have the class time to
work on their presentations. Rebecca was happy to help students with their
presentations, and even sat down with a student to help him pronounce English
medical terms using phonetics.
