Teacher Presentation:
Ms. Golen started the class with a review of the day's agenda and reminder of the upcoming test. She went over her evalutation criteria for the test and the class in general. Ms. Golen used the inductive method of teaching grammar, presenting examples of the verb 'to be', then explained the grammatical structure then asked students to practice with partners.
Classroom Management:
Ms. Golen started the class on time, and at the top of the class took attendance and asked each of her students about their weekend which seemed to be a good way to initiate engagement. She used three short group/ partner exercises to promote interaction amongst the students while she went around listening in to check on the students' progress.

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned:
Daily class agendas are a great idea. Asking students a simple friendly question like "how was your weekend" during attendance is a good way to break the ice. It gets students engaged right away and creates a feeling of kindness in the classroom.
